About Taylor

Born in Georgia, and raised in the heart of Andrews, North Carolina, I’ve called the Appalachian Mountains home most of my life. Growing up in Western North Carolina, I developed a deep appreciation for the region’s beauty and serenity as an avid Boy Scout, earning the prestigious Eagle Scout Award. Weekends spent backpacking through the Nantahala and Snowbird Mountains, playing sports for the Andrews Wildcats, and embracing the unique lifestyle of mountain living shaped my passion for this extraordinary region.

I went on to serve eight years in the U.S. Army, where I gained invaluable experience working in high-pressure environments, leading teams as a Non-Commissioned Officer, and maintaining operational readiness of multi-million-dollar equipment. That time instilled in me discipline, leadership, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

After completing my military service, I returned home and began a career in construction. Starting with property investments and full-scale remodels, I eventually earned my NC General Contractor’s License. Right off the bat I began leading the construction of eight residential homes simultaneously for two prominent development groups. Over the past five years, I’ve built everything from tiny homes to large custom luxury cabins, completed extensive remodels, and even renovated commercial hotels. This hands-on experience gives me a unique edge in understanding the intricacies of properties, from structure to design.

With more than seven years of hands-on building experience and a family legacy of over 20 years in real estate, transitioning into real estate sales with Old Town Brokers was a natural next step. My goal is simple: to serve my community and help others achieve their dream of mountain living.
